The Mount Vernon Nazarene University athletics program was established in 1968 and has become a vital part of Mount Vernon Nazarene University. MVNU athletics has influenced thousands of student-athletes in over four decades; valuing success through intercollegiate competition and academic excellence, with emphasis on personal maturity and spiritual development. MVNU offers sports for men and women in basketball, soccer, cross country, track and field, golf, and tennis. The university also offers men’s baseball, women’s volleyball and softball.
MVNU athletics is currently affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Crossroads League. MVNU supports the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character. They include integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership.
